World Culture Map plots living cultural practice — the thing still being done, by people, in a place. 19 entries across 13 countries so far.

An entry earns its pin by being practised, not merely recorded. A festival still held, a craft still worked, a language still spoken. The place is where it is carried, which is not always where it began.

Entries are curated by hand and kept as JSON files in the site's repository. To propose one, open a pull request adding a file to src/content/entries/.
