Not dots but stripes running on the diagonal, produced by rolling the length of cloth into a rope, binding it at intervals and dyeing — then unrolling, re-rolling on the other bias and dyeing again for the lattice version. Turban and odhni cloth, strongly seasonal: it belongs to the monsoon and to Teej.
