Practised for its own sake by the community that carries it. A visitor is a guest, not the reason it happens.

Hollow terracotta plaques of Dharmaraj, Devnarayan and local deities, built up flat on a slab rather than turned on a wheel, then fired and often painted. They are not decorative: Bhil, Gujjar and other communities from across southern Rajasthan and eastern Gujarat come to commission them and carry them home to install in village shrines. That commissioning relationship is what keeps this living rather than commercial, and it is also why the village is not a tourist destination and should not be treated as one.
