The Pushtimarg tradition's principal shrine, forty-eight kilometres north. The deity is treated as a living child: bathed, dressed, fed and put to rest through eight darshan sessions a day, with the clothing and the painted backdrop changed to the season and the festival. That backdrop is why the pichwai tradition exists at all — the paintings are liturgical objects first and art-market objects second.
No photography, no phones, no leather. Sessions are brief and very crowded — you move with the crowd, you don't linger.
